Looking for someone who will really listen? I believe everyone needs someone, and I strive to be that steady, supportive presence in therapy. Clients describe me as warm, open-minded, and easy to talk to. My goal is to create a space where you feel heard, respected, and comfortable showing up just as you are.
I strive to empower clients to regain agency of their own health and well-being. With 30+ years of being a therapist, I understand that making desired changes can be challenging and fulfilling at the same time.

I blend evidence-based approaches with a deep commitment to fostering growth, self-awareness, and resilience. My therapeutic philosophy is rooted in dignity, respect, and the equitable distribution of power throughout the counseling process. I promote the importance that every person feels heard, valued, and recognize their capacity for personal transformation.
I work with primarily adults and teens navigating anxiety, depression and lasting impact of trauma. I have particular focus on supporting individuals who have experienced narcissistic abuse, coercive control and high conflict relationships, including the stress that can come with separations or divorce
Welcome — I’m Glad You’re Here
I’m Erica Ortiz, a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas with over 17 years of experience helping children, teens, adults, couples, and families navigate life’s challenges. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to grow.
I help clients work through anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship struggles, and life transitions. With children, I use play therapy to help them express emotions in ways that make sense for them. With couples, I take a trauma-informed approach to strengthen connection and communication.
Hi, I’m Michelle, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). My work sits at the intersection of identity, body, and healing. I specialize in LGBTQ+ affirming care, trauma recovery, chronic illness, and women’s mental health, including perinatal care. My particular focus is on neurodivergent individuals, including those who were identified later in life or came to that understanding on their own. As a neurodivergent person myself, I bring lived experience and genuine empathy to my practice, ensuring you feel truly seen and supported in a world that isn't always built for your unique mind or body.
