Hi, I’m Yen, a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who is truly passionate about helping people feel seen, heard, and supported. My journey in healthcare began many years ago as a Medication Technician and CNA, where I learned the importance of patience, compassion, and meeting people exactly where they are. I later earned my Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, became a Registered Nurse, and ultimately pursued my calling as a PMHNP.
These experiences have shaped the way I care for others. I understand that every person’s story is unique, and my goal is to walk alongside you with understanding, warmth, and respect. I have worked with clients from ages 3 through 80 and with individuals, couples, and families. With that breadth of experience, very little shocks or surprises me, and I am able to develop an individualized approach for each client, combining therapy modalities that play to my strengths as a counselor and that are helpful for the people I’m working with.
Three principles shape all the counseling I do:
You don’t have to navigate this alone.
