I graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with my Masters in Social Work in 2011. Since then, I've primarily focused on working with individuals struggling with anxiety and traumas. My trainings include Mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing Therapy. I also have my 200 hour Certification in Yoga, which I believe adds another level of body awareness and somatic work.
I am a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC) with over 22 years of experience supporting individuals and families through a wide range of mental health challenges. I take a client-centered approach that emphasizes trust, connection, and positive reinforcement. I have extensive experience addressing behavioral concerns rooted in childhood experiences and helping clients understand how early patterns continue to impact their lives today.
Hi, I’m Chelsea Murray, LMHC, and I believe it takes courage to choose yourself. I help ambitious women, teens, and emerging leaders slow down and explore who they are beyond their roles, achievements, and expectations. My work is grounded in compassion, curiosity, and a deep belief that confidence should come from within—not from performance.
Before becoming a therapist, I spent years as a licensed cosmetologist, working closely with women and girls during some of the most defining moments of their lives. Whether behind the chair or in the therapy room, I’ve seen how often we carry silent struggles—self-doubt, burnout, people-pleasing, or the pressure to “have it all together.” I also enjoy working with children and adolescents, helping them develop emotional awareness and self-esteem early so they can grow into healthy, confident adults.
I am an experienced Licensed Psychologist who works with adults and children with a variety of mental health needs. I provide psychological evaluations, psychoeducational assessments, and individual therapy. I received my doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Nova Southeastern University and completed my residency at the CAI. My specialty includes working with individuals who need help with depression, anxiety, stress management, conduct disorder, ADHD/ADD, grief and loss.
CJ deeply believes that a person’s past does not define their future. With a potent blend of empathy and expertise, she is passionate about helping individuals uncover their innate resilience and capacity for healing. Her approach is rooted in the belief that even the most painful histories can be transformed into sources of strength.
Having grown up in foster care, CJ brings a lived understanding of adversity—not as her reason for becoming a therapist, but as a quiet source of strength that has shaped her superpower: the ability to sit with any form of trauma without judgment or shock. Her presence is steady, compassionate, and unshakable—able to hold space for stories that are often too heavy for others to carry.
Specializing in trauma-informed and somatic therapies, CJ supports individuals, couples, and families through experiences of PTSD, anxiety, and complex trauma. Her mission is to guide clients toward a life marked by grace, growth, and resilience.
