As an LCSW, I have worked with a wide range of emotional and behavioral challenges which include anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, grief and loss, addictions, and life transitions.
I’m Kel Mathews, an LMFT with 11 years of experience helping individuals, families, and groups navigate life's challenges. I specialize in trauma, minority stress, crisis intervention, and working with diverse populations, including at-risk youth and the LGBTQ community. I’m currently pursuing a Doctorate in Psychology, deepening my expertise in systemic issues and mental health. My warm, affirming approach empowers clients to find strength and healing.
My approach to therapy is compassionate, and empowering. I believe meaningful change happens when my clients feel genuinely heard and supported in a safe, nonjudgmental space. My style is warm, authentic, and practical, I listen deeply, ask thoughtful questions, and work with you to identify patterns, build on strengths, and create sustainable change.
I draw from evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Strengths-Based practices. I tailor each session to meet your unique needs, whether that means addressing anxiety, stress, relationship challenges, or navigating major life transitions.

Over the last 6 years of my career I have dedicated my life to the beautiful healing art of psychotherapy working and learning alongside many amazing clinicians. My journey has brought me to work with children, adolescents, young adults/adults, couples, and families.
