I have a MA in Marriage and Family Therapy and have been practicing since 2015. I worked in the behavioral health field with children and families for 15 years prior to becoming a marriage and family therapist. I love working with individuals, couples and families.
I believe therapy works best when it feels safe, genuine, and collaborative. My sessions are a space where you can show up as you are — no judgment, no pressure — just honest conversation and compassionate support. Together, we’ll explore what’s been weighing on you and find practical, meaningful ways to help you feel more grounded and at peace.
I have received my Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University. Don't let that scare you. I do not judge and am easily relatable. I enjoy working with older teens into adulthood. Working with those who have anxieties, depression, and trying to adjust to new things are part of what I like working with.
Hi, I’m Jackie Worthington, a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor providing teletherapy for women, adolescents, and young adults navigating life transitions, stress, burnout, anxiety, chronic illness, and identity shifts.
Many of my clients are high-functioning on the outside but feel overwhelmed, stuck, or uncertain internally. I also work with adolescents and young adults experiencing anxiety-related concerns, including social anxiety, self-esteem challenges, self-confidence issues, and imposter syndrome.
I understand what it feels like to carry a lot while trying to keep everything together. Therapy with me is a supportive space to slow down, feel understood, and begin making sense of what you’re experiencing.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and solution-focused. We focus on insight, coping skills, and practical steps that support clarity, confidence, and forward movement.
I specialize in OCD, as well as generalized anxiety and body-focused repetitive behaviors. I will help you understand that it is OCD, not you, that is creating these distressing thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. I primarily utilize exposure and response prevention (ERP) and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) to work with these diagnoses.
I believe that healthy relationships (including the therapeutic relationship) have transformative power when we are able to fully experience their healing power in the present moment. My goal is to provide a safe place for you to bring your pain, uncertainty, and hope as we work together to support your healing and growth.
