Hi, I’m Jamelia Shahid-EL a LCMHC and school counselor with 10+ years of experience. I offer affirming, down-to-earth therapy for children navigating anxiety, identity, burnout, and life transitions. My space is inclusive, trauma-informed, and rooted in care.
Life can pull us in a hundred different directions, and sometimes it takes slowing down, getting real, and having honest conversations to find our way forward. My approach is straightforward and commpassionate - no judgment, no fluff. I meet you where you are, walk beside you through the challenges, and help you rediscover your strength, clarity, and purpose.
Hello, My name is La Kevia Moore. I have 7 years of experience as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I provide therapy for those that need a gentle reminder of their power. I specialize in motivational interviewing, solution-based therapy and CBT.
I am a North Carolina native and graduated from Winthrop University with my Master's degree in 2015. I enjoy working with a range of clients who are motivated and ready to make changes in order to improve their quality of life. I will work with you to identify and achieve your goals. I place great emphasis on the therapeutic relationship so you feel comfortable during every session, no matter how uncomfortable to topic may be.
I enjoy collaborating with people on their healing journey! This may look like processing life’s hardships, exploring parts of their story and identities, or creating realistic goals to make lasting changes. I have over 9 years of experience in the mental health field working with anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, difficult life transitions, relationship/family issues, gender and sexuality, multiculturalism and identity, college students, and military-connected people. I’ve worked with individuals across the lifespan (ages 4-65), primarily working in community mental health and college/university settings.
I have wanted to be a counselor from a young age. I received my undergraduate BA degree in Psychology from the University of Colorado and my graduate degree M.Ed clinical/ school counseling from the University of Phoenix. I also spent two years studying at the Denver Seminary to learn how to incorporate faith into counseling. I started out as a middle school counselor and also worked as a therapist in a counseling clinic. My passions are parent coaching, helping with anxiety disorders as well as depressive disorders.
I'm Lucy Maina, a Board Certified, Licensed Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) at Therapeutic Alliance Behavioral Health. I specialize in treating anxiety, ADHD, depression, chronic fatigue, irritability, and emotional numbness, including the unique stress that comes with caregiving. I also have experience supporting neurodiverse individuals and those living with autism spectrum disorder or schizophrenia, offering sensory-considerate evaluations, communication accommodations, and relapse prevention planning tailored to your needs.
