I'm a licensed psychologist with 19 years of experience providing counseling and guidance for people like you. I'm passionate about helping people know their true identity and worth. I love to help people gain hope and move forward from the painful situations or relationships that have led to them feeling "stuck" and believing lies about themselves.
I have a doctoral degree (PsyD) from Rosemead School of Psychology (2010). In addition to generalized training, I have training in grief, women's issues, adoption and infertility, divorce, and abuse recovery. I have done intensive training in ADHD assessment and treatment across the lifespan, and intensive training in Gottman Method Couples counseling.
I have been a Social Worker for 30 years! That's crazy for me to think about because I am not THAT old......and I have learned a lot (about myself) along the way. I have learned that I do like to talk to people more than I let on. I have learned that I can be very patient listener and I give good feedback. And, I have learned that, at some point, we all have to make changes in our lives and that can be scary. I have also learned it's not as scary when we talk about it out loud........just saying.

I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor dedicated to helping Black women navigate relationship trauma, chronic stress, and the emotional toll of high-functioning expectations. My work focuses on attachment patterns, emotional regulation, and restoring a grounded sense of self. I practice through a trauma-informed, culturally responsive lens and prioritize a therapeutic alliance built on trust, empowerment, and shared decision-making. Healing requires both safety and accountability — and I hold space for both. My clinical background includes collaborative work within integrated care models, partnering with psychiatric providers to ensure comprehensive biopsychosocial treatment planning. I value coordinated care that honors both scientific rigor and relational depth. In addition to clinical practice, I serve as Board Member and Co-Chair for BraveWorks, contributing to strategic leadership and mental health advocacy initiatives. I am currently pursuing certification through the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapists (AASECT), expanding my clinical expertise in relational and sexual health through specialized training and supervised practice. I am also a mental health writer and speaker focused on trauma-informed care, emotional resilience, and relational healing for Black women. I welcome opportunities for workshops, panel discussions, podcast interviews, and professional collaborations centered on culturally responsive mental health care.
