I have 25 years of experience working with a variety of populations, from children to older adults. I’ve been privileged to help people navigate through various life situations including conflicts in relationships, depression, anxiety, stress, grief and chronic illness.
Hello, and welcome. I’m truly glad you’re here and taking this meaningful step toward healing and growth. Life is a journey—while there are moments we can walk alone, there are also times when we benefit from having someone beside us to provide support, perspective, and encouragement. As your culturally competent therapist, I’m here to walk alongside you and help you move toward a more joyful, fulfilling, and empowered life.
Hello — I’m Dr. Nikkah, a licensed clinical psychologist based in New York City with over 20 years of experience helping individuals, couples, and families navigate interpersonal relationships and personal conflicts. I specialize in working with clients who are experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues or life transitions. My therapeutic style is eclectic, as I have training in a multitude of therapeutic modalities, e.g. CBT, psychodynamic therapy, solution focused etc. to best match your specific needs.
I am a seasoned, LCSW psychotherapist and acupressure practitioner, supervisor, educator and presenter. I have been a clinician, supervisor, and program manager with diverse populations in a variety of agencies and schools including mental health services as well as alcoholism/substance use treatment specializing in family systems and harm reduction/PTSD treatment utilizing Acudetox with needles and ear seeds/beads.
I’m a graduate of Columbia University’s School of Social Work and I have been working in community mental health for more than a decade.
I specialize in helping women, millennials and high achievers with:
My name is Maureen and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in New York State for fifteen years. I graduated from Columbia University's School of Social Work in 2005 with a concentration in clinical services. My work experience includes working in New York City to Syracuse, NY to rural Central New York in a variety of environments. Currently, I am the Supervisor for Family Behavioral Health Services for a rural mental health clinic in Central New York.
Welcome,
My name is Dallana Contreras, LCSW. As a clinical social worker, my practice is grounded in a generalist framework that integrates the person-in-environment perspective with evidence-based and culturally responsive approaches. I have wide range of experience in school based supports, crisis teams, mental health outpatient and hospital settings.
I chose social work because I believe in the power of human connection and the ability of people to transform their lives when given support, respect, and opportunity.
My name is Elyse Sellers and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I graduated from Fordham University in 2012 with a Masters in Social work. I have extensive experience supporting adults through life’s challenges. My focus is on individuals grappling with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and women struggling with fertility issues.
Vulnerability to hurt, disappointment, sadness, and grief are a normal part of the human experience. In trying to make sense of these struggles, we often turn them inward, forming painful beliefs about ourselves and the world that can shape our relationships and sense of self.
I believe that a genuine, authentic therapist-client relationship has the power to heal. I'm not looking to "fix" my clients, but instead become a fellow traveler in their therapeutic process. We will work collaboratively to identify and remove both conscious and unconscious barriers that may be keeping you stuck, moving you toward a life that is meaningful, authentic, and purposeful. This may involve offering new ideas and techniques, or identifying and shifting unhelpful patterns, transforming them into more adaptive behaviors. In this safe, judgment-free space, you can reconnect to who you truly are.
I completed my graduate studies at New York University's Silver School of Social Work and have worked in both private practice where I served adult individuals and couples, and community-based settings, focused on protecting families and strengthening secure attachments. These experiences have shaped my deep respect for the ways people adapt to early relational environments—and how those adaptations can later create both resilience and pain.
I work with individuals facing depression, anxiety, OCD, relational challenges, attachment wounds, family of origin issues, patterns rooted in early family dynamics and the intergenerational effects of trauma on parenting and relationships, including narcissistic abuse.
I hold a special interest in those impacted by the issues faced by adult children of alcoholics and dysfunctional families.
