Hello! My name is Peter Curkendall.
As a Board Certified licensed professional counselor and certified integrative life coach, my focus is on integrating mind/body modalities to help individuals, couples, and groups reach their full potential. My counseling style is inviting and interactive and is grounded in wellness, humor, and pragmatism with a client-focused, strength-based approach. I employ an empathetic, direct, and practical counseling style, using a wide range of evidenced based tools to make our time most meaningful and enhance your everyday life concerns.
I view clients through a developmental lens and use an eclectic approach, from an evidenced based perspective, and meet people where they are. This includes skillful and strategic use of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Existential, family systems, Rogerian, Narrative therapies, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Behavioral approaches. I seek to collaboratively develop an individualized, person-centered focus and existential theoretical framework. I have worked extensively with individuals, groups, and families around trauma and sexual abuse. While helping people develop tools and skills to empower them and help them achieve their goals, I support people through their process and share their journey. Empathy, compassion, trust, and respect are cornerstones of my approach.
I provide a holistic, eclectic, flexible approach. Interventions are customized for the individual and believe a good relationship between therapist and client is key to the process of counseling. Please let me know what you want to achieve through the counseling experience and I will assist you with creating a more dynamic environment to achieve your goals. I bring scholarship and academic knowledge to the practice of psychotherapy and seek to build a collaborative bond with clients in order to work together to achieve better mental health.
I hae a collaborative approach in working with clients with a wide range of backgrounds.
Michele has spent her life helping others. She is a therapist and a rabbi. Ordained at Hebrew Union College in NYC in 1997. She has been a congregational rabbi for 25 years. In 2016 she received her D.Min., in interfaith clinical and pastoral counseling. She can add a spiritual dimension if interested. She works with adults, helping with life's transitions or working on past experiences that continue to hold them back. Michele has two special focus areas: complex trauma, and grief and loss.
I have experience working with clients who have experienced troubled childhood. I work to unpack early experiences and rebuild. I create a safe space for clients to feel comfortable and share their experiences.
I have several years of experience working in the social work field and specialize in areas of: depression, anxiety, self-esteem, life transitions, and overall wellness. I work with individuals 18 years and older.
I believe that people thrive when they are authentically connected to themselves and each other. When these connections are disrupted by fear, trauma, depression, loss, or some life transition, it can be helpful to have a place to rediscover and repair those connections. Having a safe environment where an empathic presence and a constructive perspective are provided can help to restore stability, reinforce your strengths, and allow you to grow and build toward living your fullest life possible. My approach to psychotherapy is collaborative, practical, and goal oriented. Together we will determine the focus and duration of our work.
We may choose to work to reduce immediate symptoms such as anxiety, excessive worry, anger, and feelings of stuck-ness. We may address health/work/relationship crises and other life-challenges. Or we may explore longstanding but no longer adaptive behavioral, thinking, and relational patterns. Such explorations can create opportunities for more effective and rewarding ways of being. I will help you to emerge from this work with increased strength, insight, and well-being.
Ms. Elsa I. Arce is a Bilingual (Spanish-Speaking) LMHC, EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) Matrix Reimprinting Practitioner, Abundance Coach and a Shamanic Reiki Master. Trained as a traditional clinical psychotherapist, she provides therapy for children, young adults, couples, and families with anxiety, depression, mood disorders, attention-deficit, trauma, substance abuse, domestic violence, and family relational stress. In addition, she practices non-traditional Energy Psychology therapies that are also evidenced based. Elsa has a private practice in Westchester NY.
Ms. Arce uses energy healing methods called Emotional Freedom Techniques. While tapping on specific meridian points on the body, and talking about the specific problem, it effectively release fears, overwhelming emotions, and negative thought patterns. It calms the nervous system allowing the body and mind to return to their natural healing state.

Are you... A young adult struggling in the attempt to to navigate life transitions, school, the workforce, family life or other issues?
Or a couple having trouble finding the right words to communicate and find expression in your relationship?
You can thrive.
Hi! I’m Hudi Kowalsky, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) with a passion to help teens and young adults find meaning and purpose in their lives.
How my practice is different:
Goal Focused Therapy. I believe in short, goal-focused therapy. That’s why, we set goals and together we hit the ground running. If you put in the work, you’ll see results within 12 weeks. I know that’s a bold statement, but my past clients can attest to that.
Client Feedback. I check in periodically on your thoughts about the process. I want to hear from you, what’s working? What isn’t? Is there anything that you’d like to see different? And then I tweak it accordingly.
I know it can be hard to find the right therapist. Maybe you think it’s only for people with “serious” issues. Maybe you’ve been to a few therapists but you didn’t see change and you’re wondering what another therapist can offer you. Maybe you’re afraid of what people will think of you if you go to therapy. Maybe you’re not sure therapy is worth the investment.
I understand. That’s why I’m here to answer any questions you may have prior to booking an intake session.
